Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance

The Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance is a public-private partnership dedicated to developing the economies of Las Vegas, Clark County, Henderson, North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Mesquite through regional cooperation, global trade, and global connectivity. We are the economic and community development resource for Southern Nevada.

As the Marketing Communications Manager, and then Director of Marketing and Brand Strategy, I helped shape the look and feel of the brand while delivering results oriented marketing solutions to further economic development goals in the Greater Vegas region.

Branding

I project managed the redesign of lvgea.org. Through the redesign I helped to create better a flow of user experience while keeping in mind the marketing pathways and relevant information. With the four prominent user focused buttons containing audience specific resources, we helped to create pathways for self-service as well as further opportunities for engagement.

Marketing & Communications

As with any public-facing, public-benefiting efforts, it is important to educate the public as to why it matters and how it helps. Economic development can be a very elusive idea for the general public, and murky infomration is the enemy of truth. While our region has largely recovered from the last recession and is expereiencing comfortable growht, the tendency towards complacency is a real threat to the region. As a region still overly dependent on the tourism economy, if we slack on economic development and industry diversification, we put ourselves at risk in the next economic downturn. Therefore, we created a campaign to educate the public on the direct benefits of economic development. This is one of many campaigns, some small and others larger, created and executed within the reources availalble to us at the time.

Graphic Design

Organizations have many design needs, and LVGEA is no different. Part of my role was overseeing all visual output and creating the best solution with the available resources. From multimedia presentation decks, websites, report covers and book layouts, email templates, billboards, and signs...I've just about done it all.
